NIOS is an autonomous organization under MHRD. The key purpose of NIOS is to provide primary, secondary, vocational and life skill education to a diverse group of learners which include differently specially enabled students. NIOS also Teacher training courses for early childhood and elementary education. (ECEE)
Eligibility of secondary (10th)
Minimum of 14 years of age.
Eligibility of senior secondary (12th)
Minimum of 15 years of age. Should have passed the secondary (10th) exams successfully.
For secondary – 5 subjects.
